I just spent 6 productive hours in the studio, after a day at work. I had to finish forming, coiling inside and out, then putting the I bottom on the Bouffant Vase. I forgot to take a picture of it. I still have to reinforce the seams and clean up the sides. I really like the form and rolled out another version with a wider, lower part.

Starting tomorrow, after work, I'm on vacation for 2 weeks. I think I'm going to work with the white clay for those 2 weeks. I want to find a stable, even melting, matte white that I can add some colorants to, to get some pale colors. I've got some ideas floating around that I want to try out. It has to be opaque.

I also fired the kiln tonight. I'm re-firing the 3 platters (2 are on the first shelf) and 3 new vases. They're smaller than what I've been making.

All night long, I'm thinking there's nobody else in the building. So, I turned up the music and sang along. I've got a decent voice, particularly if I think nobody can hear me. So, it was fun!

Satisfied, I'm going to hit the hay.
